About Fred

A native of North Carolina, I spent the biggest part of my life in Florida, which meant being near Daytona International Speedway. That explains why most of my photos were taken there and why I developed a love for long-distance sportscar racing. I attended my first ever endurance race there in 1967. There were also many trips to Sebring and Road Atlanta. During a stint for the U. S. Army in West Germany (that's what it was named back then) in the Nuernberg area there were a few trips to some of the great European tracks. Now back in North Carolina, trips to Daytona and Road Atlanta, as well as my all-time favorite track right here in my back yard, Virginia International Raceway, are pretty regular. I've enjoyed my time being a racetrack bum and enjoyed shooting the pictures. I hope you enjoy them, too. Thanks for visiting my website.
